Job Description
Dental hygienists are educators — they teach patients the ins and outs of proper dental care, how to brush and floss, and which type of floss and toothbrush are best for them.

Educating patients about proper oral hygiene, cleaning teeth, and administering preventive dental care are the major responsibilities of dental hygienists. They record abnormalities and problem areas in patients’ mouths. Other tasks include taking digital xrays, administering fluoride, pit & fissure sealants, providing periodontal therapy in the form of root planning, removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth. Hygienists collaborate with dentists by recognizing problems in patient dentition and communicating to the doctor and patient.

Hygienists at our office enjoy a comfortable environment with variety of modern equipment to perform their jobs:  We are a high tech office with Digital x-rays (No developing! No waiting!), digital charts and records (No paper folder charts misplaced here, thank you!), Cavitron; They clean teeth using ultrasonic, rotary, and manual tools; and they use models of teeth and the mouth to educate patients.

Requirements
Candidate must possess IL state license and must be certified to administer anesthesia.
